We warmly welcome you to the Barrowby Parish Council website where we aim to ensure that the people of Barrowby are kept up to date on Parish Council matters, events and general happenings within the village.

Barrowby is situated in the county of Lincolnshire, close to the borders of Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. The Parish Council’s headquarters is The Reading Room, which is situated in the centre of the village and is also available to hire for functions. The village stands approx. 2 miles outside the town of Grantham, on the A52 road travelling north to Nottingham.

Barrowby, one of the largest villages in the district of South Kesteven, has a population of around 2,000. There is a Primary school, a church, ‘Dougie’s’ coffee shop, Memorial Hall, allotments, The White Swan pub, WI, Mother and Baby, Ante natal, Yoga, Bridge club and many other activities which are available in the village.

Sport is also popular, boasting very strong junior and senior football clubs plus a cricket team. The Parish Council, in conjunction with the Football Foundation, built a new Sports Pavilion on Lowfield which was opened in July 2008 and is now in use by football teams, cricket team and other private hirers.
